FRONT HOUSE MANAGER

Job Overview: Plan, prep, set-up and provide quality service.  Provide shift and project supervision in order to consistently meet or exceed the standard of Customer Service. Responsible for interviewing, hiring, and training staff; planning; assigning; and directing work; performance reviews; counseling and disciplining employees.  Maintain a safe and sanitary work environment for all employees.

 

Leadership requirements:

  • Proven leadership skills to achieve goals while maintaining a high expectation of standards with regards to quality, presentation, and consistency.
  • Ability to build a positive team around you and keep high employee morale among staff
  • Proven ability to recruit, train, develop, and lead a strong team
  • Good communication skills and ability to maintain a cohesive team
  • Ability to work under pressure 
  • Strong work ethic and potential for future growth
  • Create a positive environment for all Team Members and Guests
  • Manage the store appearance, maintenance, and atmosphere

 

Technical requirements:

  • High volume restaurant experience 
  • Extensive product knowledge
  • To insure the execution of operating standards 
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practice
  • A passion for cooking and an active commitment to quality, safety, and sanitation
  • Knowledge of scheduling, inventory controls, and shift management systems]
  • Job training and money management skills
  • Work shifts to coach employees and provide ongoing feedback for their development
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment for all Guests and Team
  • Work floor management shifts to set the pace and to insure Excellent Service

 

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years experience as a manager in high volume restaurant (no exceptions)
  • Bachelor degree or degree from culinary institute is a plus
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong food and beverage knowledge
